Alcohol 101

Not sure how to talk to your teen about the issues involved with underage drinking? Alcohol 101 is a class designed for individuals between the ages of 16 and 21 to learn about the social, emotional, financial and physical impact of alcohol use. This four-hour class is held one evening a month. Classes are small, allowing for discussion and participation. Pre-registration is required. Many participants are court ordered; however, all teens 16-21 are encouraged to attend. It is recommended that you reserve space two months in advance as classes fill quickly. The program meets the requirements for Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts.

Adult Anger Management

Hurt, fear and frustration … these are the emotions that trigger anger. Learn strategies during the four-week program to feel more in control of your anger. The program meets the requirements for Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts and Circut Courts. Space is limited, so pre-registration is a must.

Cooperative Parenting

Cooperative parenting is a four-hour course primarily for parents or guardians who are parenting from separate homes. The emphasis is on cooperating as parents/guardians to benefit children and to minimize the impact of ending a relationship, seperation, and divorce. Cooperative Parenting is a Virginia Supreme Court-approved course for compliance with Juvenile & Domestic Relations court orders. The class is designed for parents prior to attending mediation. Classes are offered the second and fourth Saturday of each month. Pre-registration is preferred, as classes fill quickly. Course is free.

Pre-Marital Preparation

“Before I Do” is an insightful approach to preparing for marriage. Program topics include building your marriage on a sound foundation, establishing emotional and sexual intimacy, building a new family circle, facing change, and understanding the sacrament of marriage within the Catholic Church. Classes are offered once or twice a month on Saturdays. We recommend that couples attend three to six months prior to their wedding date.

Positive Parenting

Help children learn how to think through and solve their own challenges, and to learn from mistakes; rather than relying on punishment that can lead to resentment and rebellion. In this 7-week series, you will learn how to create a home environment where children of all ages feel belonging and significance; where behavior problems can be addressed effectively and avoided in the future.

Teen Anger Management

Anger is a powerful but natural emotion we all feel from time to time. Often, we find teen anger escalating or out of control. Adolescent Anger Management is a four-week program designed for 13 to 18 year olds. The program meets the requirements for Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts.

24/7 Dad's

This program is perfect for fathers of any age. The series includes the following topics: Family of Origin, Fathering & Culture, Understanding yourself, Fathering & Family Roles, Basic parenting skills, Expectations & Children’s, Development, Discipline, Rewards & Punishment, Getting Involved with Your Children.
