Pre-Marital Preparation

Pre-Marital Preparation (PMP) program assists engaged couples in their accountability and responsibility to teach each other and to their marriage. This is a faith-based program but you do not need to be Catholic to attend.

Topics Include:


  • Building Your Marriage on a Sound Foundation & the Two Will Become One
  • Establishing Emotional Intimacy & Facing Change/Keeping Your Foundation
  • Dealing With Conflict
  • Sacrament of Marriage

Course Information:


DATE: PMP is held on the 2nd and 4th weekend of the month.

TIME: Fridays from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

LOCATION: PMP is offered at CCEVA's Main Office in Virginia Beach or at St. Jerome's Catholic Church in Newport News.

Pre-registration is required. CALL (757) 533-5217 on the Southside or (757) 875-0060 on the Peninsula
FEE: $150 per couple or $75 per individual and includes dinner on Friday night as well as materials.
The fee may be paid in cash or by check payable to Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia, Inc.
Participants should complete the Pre-Marital program six (6) months prior to their wedding date.
