Do I have to be Catholic to sign up for clinical counseling? No.
Do I have to belong to a church to receive services through Catholic Charities? No.
Is there a fee for the services that CCEVA provides? CCEVA accepts most forms of health insurance for counseling services. A sliding scale is available for those without insurance, based on income and number of people in household. We can give you an estimate if you call 467-7707.
Are all the services offered at all the locations? Counseling is currently available in our Virginia Beach, Newport News, Chesapeake and Norfolk locations.
Do I have to be a certain age to participate in the Respite Care program? Yes. Either the caregiver must be 60 or older or the recipient must be 60 years or older.
Is there a limit to how many times I come to Catholic Charities for rental assistance? If approved, you may only apply one time per year.
May I go to any of the office locations to apply for emergency assistance? Yes. An intake application can be completed at any one of our eight (8) offices.
