We pledge to serve people in need through careful use of our resources. This past year, more than 24,000 individuals and families in Hampton Roads recieved CCEVA’s compassionate help and services.

We are proud of our record and pledge to work harder than ever in these tough economic times. Our promise to those disadvantaged and needy people we serve and to our donors, is to:

• Not rest there is so much more work to do.
• Seek with urgency the support of the entire community to advance the mission and services
• Be good stewards of the charitable gifts we receive

In 2007, Catholic Charities USA (CCUSA) was given a four-star (highest) rating for donors looking to maximize their giving.  Charity Navigator, the country’s largest independent charity evaluator, ranked Catholic Charities USA as the eighth most fiscally responsible charity in the country after evaluating the financial health of more than 5,300 of the best known charities in America.

Catholic Charities USA serves as the membership association of one of the nation’s largest social service networks that includes Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia (CCEVA). CCEVA has consistently maintained a low combined fundraising and administrative costs of all charities in the Commonwealth of Virginia - 12.1%.
