ABOUT THE CATHOLIC CUP

Founded just one year apart, The Barry Robinson Center and Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia have been helping serve families and children in our community for over 85 years.

The Barry Robinson Center offers a residential treatment program for boys and girls, ages 6-17, with mental health issues, including a dual diagnosis program for teens with substance abuse issues. The Center also offers community based services including an outpatient substance abuse program for teens and a treatment foster care program. The campus provides a safe and serene setting for programs designed to help youth and their families overcome emotional and behavioral difficulties.

Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia provides an array of compassionate, competent and professional services that strengthen and support individuals, families and communities based on the value and dignity of human life. CCEVA provides mental health counseling services on a sliding fee scale including counseling for families and children. CCEVA also provides student assistance counseling in local area Catholic Schools.

For one day only, the two organizations are going head-to-head in a friendly competition to help raise awareness and support children’s mental health. Players are encouraged to play for either team and the winning organization will take home the first Catholic Cup!
