Receptionist/Administrative Assistant (Part Time – Tuesday – Thursday, 12:00 – 7:00 p.m.)

Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual for the part time receptionist/administrative assistant located at our Princess Anne Office (4855 Princess Anne Rd., Virginia Beach, VA 23462).

The functions and responsibilities of this position include greet clients and visitors; collect payments for services; prepare weekly accounts receivable spreadsheet; answer incoming calls and route them to appropriate staff; route faxes to appropriate staff; keep abreast of agency and community resources and refer clients to additional resources and services; write closing letters for clients; maintain all closed clinical files; process phone intakes of new clients, make reminder calls; process new client paperwork; create new client files; attend departmental and agency staff meetings; participate in agency performance and quality improvement processes.

The qualifications for this position include a three or more years of related office experience, professional and friendly demeanor, team Oriented, self-starter, computer proficiency in Excel, Access and Word. Acceptance of Pro-life philosophy a must.

Financial Coordinator, Guardianship Services

Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia is seeking a highly motivated individual for the Financial Coordinator position for our Guardianship Services Department. This position is based out of our Virginia Beach office and works closely with the Guardianship Department Director and the Guardianship Case Managers. This is a full time position (30 hours per week) eligible for medical and other benefits.

The Financial Coordinator is responsible for keeping Guardianship client financial assets organized. Responsibilities include: Maintaining client Financial files, ensuring that all required Inventories and Asset Accountings for client accounts are submitted to the Commissioner of Accounts in a timely manner, tax preparation and filing, reviewing and verifying all bank account reconciliations, keeping abreast of community resources available to Guardianship clientele, among others.


  • Associate Degree in a financial related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Mastery of computer skills; Competency in Excel and QuickBooks required.
  • Excellent Written and Oral communication skills and problem solving abilities.
