Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia can only be successful in its service to the community with help from dedicated volunteers!
Catholic Charities is in need of volunteers who can give two or more hours per week/month. If you are interested in volunteering in our offices and/or serving older adults in our community, please read about the following services needed:
CARES Program Volunteers
Volunteers are needed for our CARES (Community Assistance & Resources for Seniors) Program. Volunteers are needed to drive senior clients to medical appointments, the grocery store, the bank, pharmacy, and/or on other errands. Volunteers are also needed to do occasional light yard work or home maintenance. If you are interested in helping CCEVA keep seniors safely in their own homes, please call Vanessa Dunlap at (757) 875-0060 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
CARES Center Volunteers
We also need volunteers to receive donated infant/toddler goods for our CARES Centers in Virginia Beach and in Newport News. Volunteers are needed to help keep inventory and the centers organized. Office Duty Volunteers
Volunteers are needed to assist with office duties, such as database entry, clerical/receptionist support, word processing, spreadsheets data entry, photocopying, mailing services, online research and special event planning. Volunteers must be at least 17 years old and complete the Catholic Charities’ Volunteer Orientation.
